Come join the Los Gatos United Methodist Church, a reconciling 550 member congregation for an exciting and challenging opportunity as Director of Youth Ministries.
You will partner with the Senior Pastor, the Youth Council, parents and staff in encouraging and enabling individuals to become followers of Jesus Christ, who live God’s love in the world. You will work with the leadership council to plan, implement and participate in a comprehensive Christian program of Youth Ministry activities for Junior and Senior High youths (roughly 50 currently) including: Sunday school programs, youth group meetings, weekend retreats, conferences, service projects, mission trips and fund raising events. Strong communication and relationship skills will be needed to relate to multiple constituencies to encourage adult member of LGUMC to become youth leaders and Sunday school teachers, and to grow the size and scope of the program.

Required Skills/Background:
Strong Leadership and organizational skills
College Degree or equivalent experience
Christian curriculum proficiency
Christian youth leadership experience (3+ years minimum)
Excellent communication skills with all constituencies
Internet and social networking expertise

Passion for the work of making disciples for Jesus Christ
Called to mentor and nurture youth in their faith journey
