Full-TIme Youth Minister

The fastest growing United Methodist Church in northern Alabama is looking for a full-time youth minister to create a dynamic and magnetic youth ministry focused on 1.) helping youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; 2.) creating effective spiritual growth opportunities such as small group Bible studies and prayer; 3.) discipling youth into “Matthew 25:40 believers” who have a passion for mission work and compassionate service beyond the walls of the church; 4.) fostering a youth ministry atmosphere that is palpably spiritual yet fun and permeable for visitors/guests.

In terms of personal traits, we are looking for someone who passionately loves the Lord, loves young people, has a clear calling to youth ministry and is very organized, joyful, extraverted, energetic, spiritual and fun. It is also critical that this person have  a clear understanding of the healthy and appropriate boundaries that must exist in youth ministry.  We have a robust child protection policy and will expect this person to be a strong leader in creating a safe and positive environment for young people.
