HISTORIC FRANKLIN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH is a traditional Presbyterian (USA) church that meets in the heart of charming downtown Franklin, TN. HFPC, a small and welcoming congregation with an average weekly worship attendance of 150, is looking for a faithful and energetic Youth Director who will serve the youth of the church for 8-10 hours each week. HFPC is a committed congregation with a rich history of emphasis on worship and service. The Youth Ministry program exists for the same purpose, in hopes that youth may experience God and serve others. Building on a current core group of about nine youth who are active in the life of the church in some way, the Youth Director will be responsible for leading a program that will inspire all of the youth on the roles to grow in faith, and will also encourage members of the congregation to be involved in aspects of the youth ministry. Through such a program, the Youth Director will lead HFPC’s efforts to create a nurturing faith community where youth can build relationships with other youth and their families, strengthen their relationships with Christ, and participate fully in a church with a heart for service. The successful candidate will have a college degree with a heart for youth ministry, and theological continuity with the beliefs and practices of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
